Successful entrepreneur, unflappable sales professional, and dynamic sales trainer all describe the personable Rebecca Kilday. Experienced in corporate sales, business development, training, customer service, marketing, and advertising sales, Kilday is a lifetime sales leader and enthusiastic customer advocate, inspirational sales trainer, and veteran salesperson with more than 18 years’ experience.
A 2005 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Kilday holds her degree in Communications and Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. From 2005 to 2020, she was a mainstay of the Jostens Tennessee sales force, working with their school yearbook platform. In 2008, she took over her own 36-county territory, where she doubled the delivered volume during her tenure. Kilday played an essential part of Jostens training department. In 2019, Kilday won the prestigious Jostens Leadership Award, an honor given to her by her peers for her leadership in training customers across the country on the company’s new online design program.
In 2020, wanting to spend more time with her husband and two sons, she resigned her position and became the publisher and founder of a new Chattanooga, TN, luxury lifestyle magazine, Chattanooga City Lifestyle. She chose this new direction because she also wanted to develop community relationships deeper and closer to home, and this opportunity employed all her sharply honed skills. Sensing an overwhelming yearning to train salespeople again, Kilday sold her magazine in 2022 and began the journey to write about her sales theories, practices, and experiences. She launched her own sales training company, Sell INSPIRED, and is writing her first book.
Growing up the daughter of teachers, Kilday’s zeal for sharing her knowledge is contagious. Her natural gift for connecting with audiences, exposure to various sales training programs, and practical trial and error led her to distill her years of sales experience down to highly effective sales strategies. Her new book helps sales professionals avoid the mistakes she made, shortens the learning curve, and equips them to thrive. Her streamlined sales approach will bring clarity to sales professionals seeking to grow their careers at any level.
